We are delighted to announce the representation of Julien Spiewak.
Spiewak (born in 1984) graduated with a Master's degree in photography, lives and works in Paris. He is a photographer and researcher who questions the relationship of the photographic image with the human body as an artistic expression. Since 2005, he has produced an uninterrupted series entitled Corps de style, initially in private collections, then in museums. He introduces fragments of naked bodies inside these places. He carried out this artistic project in the Prince's Palace of Monaco, at the Museum of Hunting and Nature (Paris), in the Doria Pamphilj Palace (Rome), at the Ariana Museum (Geneva).
His works have joined many public and private collections: Paris MuseĢes, the Arario Museum in Seoul, the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), etc. He is represented by NM Contemporary Gallery (Monaco), Espace_L Gallery (Geneva), Alvaro Alcazar Gallery (Madrid) and now West Eden (Bangkok).
Spiewak's ties to Thailand reach back to his early twenties when he spend time teaching English in the mountains of Northern Thailand, and he has kept his relationship with Thailand strong and continues to visit annually and speaks conversational Thai.
